Monthly challenges can be great fun. They help us improve our lives one little step at a time. Great changes take little bits of work over time. So I am pleased to bring you a month of ideas to help you improve your Torah parenting skills. I am excited to hone myself during the month of November, and I hope you will join me. Please take a little time to do the project each day and share your experiences with the rest of us each day. Some projects are fun, some are a little more serious. Enjoy!
Day 3 ~ Pray out loud with your child.
I know we pray every day. But do your children see you pray? Do you pray with them, perhaps even giving them a chance to join in? Take the time today to pray with your child. Show them how special it is to speak with our Heavenly Father. Let them see that you have a relationship with YHVH, not just a list of dos and don’ts to follow.
Be sure to share how it went with us. 🙂

We pray with our kiddos from a very young age and encourage them to pray aloud all the time. This is a special thing that binds us together. Even if we are going out in the car for the day, Brett or I will say, “Who wants to pray for our trip today?” and usually one or more will volunteer to. Even little Zippi (2 yrs) will say, “Anchoo (thankyou) farver (Father) mum, dad, boys, stass, zeeki…” and then will insert a whole lot of thing based on whatever she did that day like painting or playing on the swings. So sweet to hear our little ones pray. Over the years we have witnessed answers to our prayers as a family and I know this is part of Abba’s design to knit us together as a unit. I treasure our family prayer times SO much.
Praise YHVH! This is an area where we are still growing. 🙂
