Thanksgiving memories

Twelve years ago today, a young man was very scared. His whole life was at stake, and he had no control over the outcome. He did not know what the future held, but he had to take the risk. He had to know the answer to his question. So he got down on one knee, took my hands and said, “I love you, Heidi Lynne Cooper. I would be honored if you would be my wife. Will you marry me?”

I gasped, “Holy Cow!”

And of course I followed with a YES!

We have had ups and downs, trials and good times. But I wouldn’t trade a day of it. I can’t imagine being married to anyone but you, my love. And I am so thankful to have you. 🙂
