Her nerves are rattled, but happily so. Her day is coming…the day! She is to be married to her love. She must prepare! She enters the mikvah, the ritual immersion, which comes just before the ceremony. Every fingernail is cleaned, every hair combed clean, before she enters her bath. She is to be made clean, before…she is made clean in her spirit.
In Ancient times, and even today, the mikvah (ritual bath) is enjoyed before a big wedding day, before a High Holiday Sabbath, and even before a conversion. Today, these beautiful pools are kissed with living water provided through special filters to be deemed kosher for ceremonial washing.
Do you remember when Yeshua began His ministry? The Heavenly Groom coming to find His Bride, the Body of Messiah. Picture the Ceremony with new eyes…
Matthew 3:13-17

13 Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.
14 But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?
15 And Yeshua answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.
16 And Yeshua, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:
17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
The bride in the story above was to prepare for her groom. Our Heavenly groom prepared for us!

Glory to God in the Highest! What a beautiful Wedding you have prepared. Immerse me in your truth and grace today!
