I’m so glad that Shabbat is here again. Shabbat has to be one of the greatest things in Torah! I had some very rough emotional days this week, so I am very thankful for the rest and time to ponder and reconnect with my Creator.
Speaking of Torah, I’d like to tell you about a little conversation at our dinner table this week. We were discussing when everybody has their birthday, and I shared that my birthday was always during Vacation Bible School. I have fond memories of VBS and I began sharing them. Next thing I know, my family wants me to put on a VBS for them! And it occurred to me that it wasn’t such a bad idea. Thus was birthed the idea of Family Torah School, a week long chance for families to have fun, memorize verses, do crafts, have cool snacks, and most importantly, learn more about Torah!
I am planning to do a Family Torah School for us on August 5-9. The theme will be farms. I am brimming with ideas and have started jotting down notes. Would you be interested in doing something like this with your family? Would you like me to post everything here when I have it all organized? Please let me know! I would love to hear from you!
And until then, Shabbat Shalom. 🙂

Yes!!! I could use them for our Sukkot gathering where we do sort of VBS for the kids each morning! Plus my family would love it! This is a wonderful idea!
Oh, good! I’m getting excited about it!
Oh, Yes! Love to share with our family here…we are still new in this!
I’ll have a day by day break down very soon. 🙂
That sounds great! I’d love to see your ideas! BTW, I agree with you about Shabbat! It is so wonderful, and always comes just when I need it. We’ve had an emotional week as well, and it is nice to just let it all go and rest. Shalom to you and your family! May you be refreshed in YHVH’s love today.
Leslie,I hope this week was better for you. The “Shabbat perspective” sure helped me. I’m so glad you are interested in the Family Torah School idea. I am putting all my ideas done on paper, and will be sharing them soon.
