My First Torah

I am very pleased to share something very special with you. This writing project was my first substantial project and is very dear to my heart. I have such a strong desire to see little children learning about the Torah in real and applicable ways. This project is a result of that.

For each Torah portion I have written a beginner reader level version. Then your new reader can read Torah all by themselves. Any difficult words have been highlighted in purple, with the help of my resident beginning reader, Naomi. I guess that makes it mommy written, kid approved! The written material is all here on the website, but I strongly recommend you download the PDF version. It has a nice sized font, illustrations, and Hebrew words from each portion. Also, you can print it! Each download is about 3 pages. We are creating our own book by printing each portion and putting it in a three ring binder with page protectors.

Genesis and Exodus are available and free to download below. We are in the process of getting all 54 portions published in a real print book! Hopefully it will be available in mid 2013. In the meantime, curl up with your young one, and let them read the Torah portion to you.
